Science is Amazing Festival

Share an activity, demonstration, and/or experiment.  Activities should be geared toward K-8 students and their families, and ideally involve the students as hands-on participants.  All STEAM activities must be hands-on, safe for children, and related to science, technology and engineering. Electricity is available!

Since 2014 we've been headed to this event with a "learn to solder" activity.  This year will be featuring a circuit designed by our own make717 members.  We have 250 boards, so we'll need a good number of folks to volunteer in this area.  No experience is needed, we'll train you before you help attendees finish the kit that they get to keep!

• What: A free science festival at the Lancaster Science Factory: Free admission to all Science Factory exhibits, special science activities, demonstrations and prizes for the whole family.
• When: April 23, 2023 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm
• Where: Lancaster Science Factory, 454 New Holland Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601.
• Who: Everyone is invited! Children age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Special science demonstrations and activities will be presented by Science Factory volunteers, area schools, science clubs, universities and Lancaster youth organizations.
