Using the new Rikon Midi lathe we will review the use and sharpening of the Make 717 spindle turning tools. Each tool will be discussed and demonstrated. Attendees will then work with the tools to practice spindle shapes. Should you own turning tools take them along for sharpening or critique.
The use of the following tools and how to sharpen them will be presented and practiced:

Spindle Gouge
At the end of the session the student will take home a student designed spindle or wand type object.
